Description and Skills Needed:
Design and document machine assemblies in CAD using industry standard drafting techniques and practices. Create and maintain a database for drawings and other project related information.
Research and specify vendor supplied components.
Participate in the testing, evaluation and validation process. Track Projects (task, activity, phase, resource loading) using project management software.
Write and illustrate operator’s manuals. Safeguard confidential information. Perform related duties as assigned.
Performance Standards
Work without direct supervision and remain on task. Must also work well in groups.
Comprehend fundamentals in a wide range of fabrication methods. Identify deliverables and prioritize in a multiple projects environment. Apply requirements for regulatory compliance of machines and components (UL, FDA, etc.) Must comply with all Company work policies.
10 – 15 years experience in the design and manufacture of production machinery and tools. Work history that includes machine fabrication and assembly. Knowledge: Understand measurements, relevant geometry and tolerances (GD&T) Able to apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
